The Offers Tool on REP just got a new addition. Which tool, you say? You know the one; it’s the one accessible by clicking on the Gift Box icon. Anyway! Want to know what’s in the box? There used to be two, but now there are 3 unique ways to use the tool for your influencer marketing strategies. Each one has its benefits, of course. Let us unpack how it all works, as we realize you might need a little guidance to figure out which one is right for you!
If you’re testing out the waters of the platform, or influencer marketing in general, this one might be the best option for you. It’s essentially a way to use Offers (and REP) for FREE. It’s a bartering tool, one that allows you to trade products for posts.
How It Works:
- Select the size of influencer you’d like to have apply to your Offer.
- Describe the product you wish to have influencers promote (include photos and any specifications for posting).
- Post!
What Happens Next?:
- Influencers will apply to your Offer.
- You’ll be given their engagement rate and other pertinent details to help you either accept or reject at your leisure.
- Once you accept, you’ll be given their mailing address.
- Mail the product and keep in touch to make sure all goes according to plan.
Tip:
When describing your ask, be sure to include sample captions (complete with accounts they should tag and any hashtags you’d like to include). Also, be sure to stipulate the timing required for the post! Deadlines are important!
Offering a monetary compensation in addition to the product, will, of course, attract more influencers. If you’re through testing and have a budget ready to commit to this strategy, this option is likely the right one for you!
How It Works:
- The steps are similar to the Free option, but you’ll also be required to list the price range you’re willing to spend per post.
What Happens Next?:
- Same as above, except influencers will include their fee when applying.
- As REP is an open marketplace, you’re welcome to negotiate.
- Once a price is settled on, the remaining steps are the same.
Tip:
Ask influencers to post a Story or two (in addition to the regular post). You are, after all, giving more than just product. And let’s not forget that Stories tend to get better engagement that regular posts; plus!—if the influencer has 10k+ followers (and has made their profile a business account), they can link out to your desired URL with the Swipe-Up feature.
Bonus Tip:
Not everyone will oblige, but try and have the influencers send a screenshot of the engagement the Story yielded so you’re able to further measure the success of their efforts.
Pay Per Click (PPC) Offers is indeed the latest addition to the tool. Rather than having to make a traceable link for each individual influencer you hire, use this tool and REP will do it all for you.
How It Works:
- This one starts the same: You’ll be asked for a price range per unique click and the size of influencer you’d like to have participate.
- You’ll then be asked to type the URL you want the influencers to promote. Again, don’t worry about making unique ones for each—our algorithm will give each individual influencer their own link, and it’ll only register UNIQUE clicks!
- Following that, the steps are the same. Spell out the ask, don’t leave anything to chance, and push the Offer live!
What Happens Next?:
- Influencers will apply and include their requested fee per click.
- Again, you’re welcome to negotiate, accept, or reject at will.
- And don’t worry: You’ll be asked to put a budget to the Offer, setting a limit to what anyone can earn.
- Finally, once all is agreed upon, you’ll do the same: Send a product if there is one—and follow up accordingly.
Tip:
Ask the influencer to blast the link across all relevant channels. Even though REP is currently pulling analytics exclusively from Instagram, each link related to the PPC Offer can be posted and tracked from anywhere.
