Meet Courtney Casgraux CEO and co-founder of the much-loved beauty brand Go Blush Yourself. She’s officially our #WCW and was kind enough to sit down and chat about social media and digital marketing and how it’s influenced her company’s growth—among other things. Check it out below! You’ll get a great sense of her personality and fall even more in love with her than you likely already are.  (Also if you’re an influencer you better listen up)

What’s your social media handle?

Tell us a little bit about your business.

A: GBY Beauty is a company that specializes in salon services such as eyelash extensions and waxing, along with innovative beauty services, beauty creative direction, consulting, and now product development.

What’s your favorite holiday?

What’s your favorite skincare product?

La Prairie skin caviar and Essence – in – lotion.

What or who did you want to be when you were a kid?

I wanted to be Jane Fonda. I remember watching Barbarella and thinking, Woah she is so cool! Then my grandfather told me about how she was a political activist; visiting Hanoi Vietnam in 1972 after the airstrikes, how she supported Huey Newton and The Black Panthers among many many others things. She’s really not just one thing; she’s an actress, humanitarian, rebel, sex symbol, artist and let’s NOT FORGET she made jazzercise popular. So I think I’m on the right track 🙂

How did you make your business stand out online?

I think one of the most important things we did was create a service that now one else offers. Yes, there are many many lash extension and beauty salons but we are the ONLY ones who offer Active lash. It’s our product and creating a superior product always makes you stand out online.

Please share a valuable business skill you have.

I kind of have a spidey sense on which way the market will go, kinda of like trend forecasting. I don’t know if that’s more valuable than the technical sides of business. I also do not know if that can also truly be taught to a person. I just kinda have it.

How has social media / digital marketing helped your business?

Social media has definitely helped the brand gain exposure and gain a cult following. The partnerships we have and our wonderful brand ambassadors have been the driving force to gain a solid clientele.

What’s your best social media tip?

Make original content that is: Inspiring, cool, and makes people want to be a part of your online community.

What’s the most important aspect of social media marketing for you?
